Research Participants Terms

1. Eligibility

  • You must be 16+ to join independently.
  • Under‑16s may take part only with parental consent and an adult present when required.
  • UK‑based participants only.
  • Provide true, current information. One account per person.

2. Invitations and selection

  • Invitations depend on study criteria. Selection is not guaranteed.
  • Screeners must be completed honestly. False answers may lead to removal.
  • Some clients require a 6‑month gap between qualitative sessions of a similar type.

3. Sessions

  • Be on time. Online: join from a quiet place with a stable connection.
  • Follow moderator instructions. Do not record, screenshot, or share materials.
  • Treat staff and other participants with respect. Disruptive behaviour may lead to removal without payment.

4. Incentives

  • Amount and method are stated in the invite.
  • Typical: £50+ (B2C) for 45–60 minutes; £100–£200+ (B2B).
  • Payment: usually bank transfer within 3–5 working days; sometimes vouchers or cash on the day.
  • Incentive is inclusive of expenses unless we state otherwise.
  • No‑shows, late cancellations, or incomplete/inauthentic participation may result in no payment.

5. Cancellations

  • Tell us as early as possible if you need to cancel.
  • If a client cancels at short notice we will try to arrange an alternative or goodwill payment, but it is not guaranteed.

6. Confidentiality

  • Keep all study content confidential. No recording or sharing.
  • You may be asked to sign an NDA or consent form.

7. Data and privacy

  • We handle your data under our Privacy Policy (see our Legal page).
  • Clients may observe or receive recordings. Reporting is anonymised or aggregated unless you consent otherwise.

8. Health and safety

  • Do not attend in person if unwell with something contagious.
  • Tell us about allergies/health limits before product tests.

9. Liability

  • Participation is not employment.
  • Our liability is limited to the incentive due for the relevant study, except where the law says otherwise.

10. Governing law

  • England and Wales law and courts.
